Privacy policy
Effective August 25, 2026
The short version
BrandQuill processes your document content and Word template in your browser. We do not upload those files to an AI model, use them for AI training, or store them on our servers.
Document processing
The text you paste and the DOCX or DOTX template you choose remain in your browser during publishing. The finished DOCX is generated locally and downloaded to your device. Your browser may save a local count of free exports and a license key so the product can remember your access.
License validation
When you activate or restore a paid license, BrandQuill sends the license key through our server to Lemon Squeezy for validation. We use the response only to confirm product access, subscription status, and the applicable plan. We do not return customer email or payment details to the browser.
Payments
Purchases are completed through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy receives the billing and payment information needed to complete the transaction and provides the license key. Their handling of that information is covered by the Lemon Squeezy privacy policy.
Website analytics
BrandQuill records a small set of product events such as page view, template accepted, document generated, and checkout started. These events include an anonymous browser-session identifier, the page path, campaign tags, and a fixed result category. They do not include document content, template files, filenames, payment details, IP addresses, or a cross-site advertising identifier. Event records are deleted after 120 days. We may also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate page visits and site performance. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not collect or use visitors' personal data and does not track individual visitors across customer sites. See the Cloudflare Web Analytics documentation.
Support messages
If you email support, we receive the address and content you choose to provide. We use it to answer the request, investigate a problem, or manage a purchase. Do not send confidential document content unless it is necessary and you are authorized to share it.
Retention and choices
Document content and templates are not retained by BrandQuill. License validation requests may appear in short-lived infrastructure logs used for security and reliability. Payment records are retained by Lemon Squeezy according to its legal and operational requirements. You can remove locally saved BrandQuill data through your browser's site-data controls.
Children
BrandQuill is a business productivity product and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the product or its service providers change. The effective date above will be updated when material revisions are published. Privacy questions can be sent to support@brandquill.app.
